Project NightHawk 2

Seven revisions, five engineers, four designers, zero budget, one dream.

Two Story Tiny House

This project experimented with off-grid living, maximum legal height and width, minimum weight (1,600 pounds), vaulted ceilings and lofts.

In 2019 it was deployed in Hartsel, CO, one of the coldest places in the United States, where its occupants were sheltered. The project started with a Harbor Freight trailer, the axle upgraded for weight and maximum width. 64 square feet with a 64 square feet loft, powered by solar and wind, it also has a fireplace for warmth.

If I could do it over, I could make the roof a pop-up. Though it was easy to pull lawfully, I felt leary of being pulled over, not a good feeling when trying to enjoy the journey. I would also have chosen thicker diamond aluminum sheets and trim for less warping, if budget had permitted at the time.

Print and Advertising

I am capable of building print and advertising both by myself and in collaboration with others.
